Pentathlon
Held Saturday, July 11, 2026, the Cruisers Summer Swim League Pentathlon is a fun event for swimmers who like to swim everything!
This is a morning meet at Butterfield Pool in place of a Tri-Meet.
Warm-ups begin at 7:00 AM. Tentative meet start is at 8:00 AM. Warm-up assignments and timeline will be sent out Wednesday July 8 by 5pm.
You do not have to, but every swimmer is encouraged to try all 5 events at this meet: Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle, and the IM. (Individual Medley).
(If you choose only to enter 1 or 2 events, you may. There will not be relays at this meet.)
- 8 & Under (25 strokes & 100 IM)
- 9-10 (50 strokes & 100 IM)
- 11-12 (50 strokes & 200 IM)
- 13-14 (100 strokes & 200 IM)
- 15-18 (100 strokes & 200 IM)
**Note: If your swimmer really does not want to swim all 5 events, they are welcome to just sign up for 1-4 events. But it's a fun meet to try something new!
Awards:
- Plaques awarded to the top 3 in each age and gender group. Times from 5 events are added together.
- Lowest combined time across all events wins.
- Ribbons in each event 1- 8th place.
- Disqualification (DQ) adds 10 seconds to the swimmer’s total time for Pentathlon award.
- 3 DQs disqualify the swimmer from overall Pentathlon awards
We will be following NFHS High School Rules.
