Parent Meeting
Posted on May 3, 2026Hello and Welcome to the Cruisers Summer Swim League! Please be sure to join us for our mandatory parent meeting From 6:30 to 7:30 on May 11th at the Castle Rock Rec Center. Thank you!
We are so excited for an amazing season with our new Cruisers Summer Swim League! This league has 5 teams from the Town of Castle Rock, 1 team from Manitou Springs, and 1 team from Highlands Ranch.
The Cruisers Summer Swim League is a community-based recreational swim program built to help young athletes improve technique, gain confidence, and experience the excitement of a team season. The 2026 model organizes swimmers into five teams of approximately 50-75 athletes so that coaching remains personal, team sizes stay manageable, and swimmers receive a strong athlete-centered experience.
Each team will have a dedicated coach, an ocean-themed identity, and a consistent practice location and training time. Across the season, practices focus on the four competitive strokes, starts, flip turns, and meet readiness. The program mission is to inspire a lifelong love of swimming while promoting personal growth, sportsmanship, teamwork, friendship, and community.
Dual meets will continue at Butterfield Crossing Pool, where two meet sessions are planned back to back. This structure keeps the season organized while still preserving the fun, family-centered feel that has defined Cruisers in past summers.
The program is designed for the following swimmers and families:
Swim meets remain at Butterfield Crossing Pool. Two meets are scheduled back-to-back: the first runs approximately 7:00 AM-10:00 AM, and the second begins with a 11:30 AM warm-up and finishes around 1:00 PM. Each team receives four meets and one bye week during the tri-meet cycle.

Registration and specific team information can be found on team websites:
If you have a younger swimmer who is not able to make it across the pool unassisted in April but will be by the end of June, try our learn to cruise option. This option does not participate in swim meets, register on this website, or have parent involvement needs. It will have a coach in the water with the swimmers at the beginning of the season.
